![]() Thursday, January 08, 2009 Jiggity Jig I made it back to Wyoming safe and sound on Tuesday. The flight from Baltimore to Denver was uneventful; the flight from Denver to Sheridan was hilarious. The flight that was to leave Denver for Sheridan at 12:30 pm was delayed for nearly 2 hours, and was combined with a flight headed to Miles City, MT and then to Gillette, WY. All of those folks were then crammed into a 19-seat plane (with no lavatory, no drinks, no flight attendant) and sent on their way around 2:15 pm. The 2:20 pm flight was boarded a few minutes later, all 4 of us, on the 30-seat Brasilia (which does have a lavatory, a flight attendant, your choice of coffee or water, and mints!). We had to sit in the back of the plane for balance and stability, and we departed quickly. As we approached Sheridan, the pilot announced that we were going to be in a holding pattern until the previous plane landed, unloaded, refueled, reloaded and took off. We waited in the air for about an hour before we could land. I arrived to snow, chilly temperatures and real winter. It's good to be back home. I heart snow, and if the weather is clear this weekend, I'm hitting the mountain to snowshoe. :) posted by jaime | 1:18 PM 0 comments |
