Snowshoes!

It's been 6 weeks of busy busy crazy crazy hell weeks--in a good way. Work has been incredibly busy--we've started a feasibility analysis to determine if we can begin a 5 year funding campaign, I wrote an application for a $100,000 grant for a project, made it through board meeting week, and juggled all of my normal day-to-day stuff. I've also been to Casper and Buffalo, and out and about to all sorts of places. And it's finally springtime (temperatures are in the 40s and 50s, not the winter warmth of anything above 0).

To celebrate springtime, I borrowed a pair of snowshoes (from the hot guy that has been in all of the cooking classes I've been taking), bought a new pair of winter boots, and put on enough pairs of pants that if I were to fall over, my ass would bounce, and headed up into the Bighorns. Snowshoeing is a blast! I love it! It's easy to do and there's no risk of impaling yourself on a ski. Plus, it's a hell of a workout (and yes, I do need the workout, despite being able to comfortably wear my skinny jeans on a regular basis). It was awesome. I'm going to use part of my tax refund to buy a pair of snowshoes--I had such a great time, I can't wait to hit the trails again.

In other spring news, Liz got a bike. Her boy found a bike and fixed it up for her, so we now have a bicycle to share this summer. It's been years since I've been on a bike, and I'm not so good with the steering--I almost ran into a tree trying to avoid a car. But now that we have a bike to share, we may want to bring it along on road trips--I have to investigate a bike rack for the car.

Speaking of the car, summer travel season is quickly approaching, and we have visitors coming the first week of June. Book now to stay at Liz and Jaime's swinging bachelorette pad. You too can tour the Black Hills, Deadwood, Devils Tower, the Bighorns, Yellowstone, the Tetons, and Glacier National Park. :) It's a fabulous vacation spot, and even if we aren't the best tour guides, we're the most fun.
