Pack Pack Pack

More packing has been done, and so much more remains to be done. I'm officially up to 9 boxes and a big suitcase full of books, and I've found more books to be packed. It also didn't help that I made a trip to Wonderbook--the "every book in here is $1" location and bought an armful. I also found a great buy at Wonderbook in Frederick--a cookbook by Julia Child and Jacque Pepin, illustrated, for $2.95. Can you tell that Wonderbook is one of the things that I'll miss about this area?

I've also packed up all of my CDs and tapes and movies--those paper shopping bags from Old Navy, Macy's, etc are perfect for packing CDs. Just the right size to pack them in, plus handles for convenient carrying. I've also sorted through all of the art and framed prints that I have, consolidated things, and have that all packed up. This leaves me with linens, kitchen items, and clothes left to pack.

It seems too that I've been doing a lot of shopping lately--I was looking at new shirts at Old Navy, and was planning on ordering things online and having them shipped to WY; however, shirts cooperating with my girls is iffy. I went into the store to try on the things I was looking at, and found that nothing I liked fit properly. Instead, I found 3 dresses and a skirt on clearance, so I bought those things instead. Still needing shirts, I was going to look at Gap, etc with the same plan of trying items in store and buying items that fit online; however, my bra emergency threw a kink into that plan.

How does one have a bra emergency? Underwire pops out of bra. Underwire is stabby in the armpits. A note about this situation--a stapler is an armpit saver--generally, a staple will hold the wire back in place temporarily (the bra is thick enough to keep the staple points from creating stabby issues in the arm). But it's temporary. It made it through a day of work, to be followed by an emergency trip to Macy's for new bras. I found my bras (on sale--bonus for me!), but something on my way into the mall caught my eye.

Value City (think Marshall's or TJ Maxx but more ghetto) was having a shoe sale, buy one get one 1/2 price, so I stopped by to pursue the shoes. I couldn't find a single pair that I liked, but in my wanderings, I discovered their shirt selection. Shirts that I liked. Shirts that were reasonably priced (nothing I picked up was over $15). Shirts that fit. Woohoo!!!! I found 7 shirts that I liked, that fit, and that are work/casual flexible depending on what pants I wear (most are faux button down under shirt shirts).

All of this means more stuff to pack. If I drag it home, I'm dragging it to Wyoming when I move. Except for the furniture. But I'm not bringing any of that home. :)
