Tuesday, September 20, 2005   Purchasing Department Send some good thoughts and wishes this way; I applied for a different position at work. There is an opening for the Purchasing Department. That's right, the entire department. The entire purchasing department for 3 stores and the warehouse is one woman, who happens to be selling her house to move to Montana. So, the search has begun, and I want her job. I like what I'm doing now; however, I could be responsible for creating purchase orders and making sure that furniture gets ordered. And that sounds appealling. (Really, I'm drawn to her job because she doesn't have to deal with people. Not that often. And that appeals to my inner hermit nature.) In other news, Ian and I are going to London around the end of October/beginning of November. I'm very excited. October is shaping up to be an exciting, crazy month--there's the Liz Phair concert, and Homecoming at Juniata. And London.
