One Down, One To Go

I had my interview today at the clinic in Mt. Airy.

*dramatic pause*

I got the job. Yay for me! But I haven't said yes yet. I have another interview tomorrow at another clinic in Hagerstown for an office manager position. I want to see how that goes first and see what they're offering. Also, I want to spend some time shadowing at the Mt. Airy clinic before taking a job--make sure I have a good idea of what I'm getting into.

I am really excited though about this job in Mt. Airy--it was advertised as a receptionist position; however, in talking with the doctor, I would be in an office manager position. I'd have actual full-time hours, Monday through Friday 10 am to 7 pm, work every other Saturday. I'd be getting paid more per hour than what I'm getting now. I'd have benefits (one of my first projects would be finding an insurance plan for office employees). I'm excited. I just feel that this doctor and I share a vision of what a veterinary practice should be. And I feel like I would have everything I need at my fingertips to be able to create that vision. So, yay! Tomorrow's interview will be interesting; hopefully, I'll have another great offer to use in my negotiations. (Not that negotiations will be tough, but I want to see what my options are before agreeing to an offer.)
