Wednesday, March 12, 2003 I'm Evil...In That Special Sort Of Way Thursday! Thursday is staff meeting day! Woohoo! Now, normally, I hate meetings because they tend to be pointless and whiny. But....I've heard rumors that Merry is planning on saying something about me at the staff meeting. Every staff meeting she says something about me, and you can reference about the last staff meeting in the Artichokes. I am prepared if she says anything about me other than what a good job I do. I have a feeling that she's planning on saying something nasty about the surgery book, which is her trademark bitch at staff meetings. And I have documented no less than 7 animals that she scheduled for surgery without vaccinations, 2 animals that she scheduled for the wrong surgery and 1 case where she couldn't find the chart and rather than call the person to ask about it she cancelled their surgery appointment outright. Now, to be honest here, I have scheduled 6 animals for surgery that have had no vaccines. One was an 18 year old cat for dental work (the cat had always been sick with sinus problems and had never been well enough to vaccinate; the dental work was a tooth extraction to try to clear up the sinus infections scheduled because Dr. H said I "better damn well schedule it"). One was a 16 year old animal for a growth removal--per Dr. B--animal hadn't had vaccines because it had cancer and had been undergoing chemotherapy at a specialist and wasn't well enough for vaccines. The other four were four feral cats adopted by a woman who rescues feral and stray animals (those had also been approved by one of the doctors before it was scheduled). All of that is documented, showing that I realized that those particular animals didn't have vaccines and I had gotten those surgeries approved by a doctor prior to scheduling them. Merry's examples are just pure fuckups on her part. If she has the audacity to say something to me, I'm going to have the audacity to fucking throw charts at her head and walk out. And I've already told the doctors that I will do that. (And I have heard rumors that they are going to start searching for a new staff member soon...not sure when or if it is a replacement for Merry or not...but when I know..I'll let Beth know.) Now, in news other than work news, I have a Saturday off in April. April 24th. Watch your mailboxes, people. You never know what may arrive. posted by jaime | 12:58 AM 0 comments |
